Prayagraj: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) Kashi prant training camp concluded on Wednesday, with participating activists pledging to ensure the security of Hindu society, preserve religious culture, and take the organisation's message to the masses.
Activists' Vows and Objectives
Organisation secretary Nitin Bharat stated that each activist vowed to work in the national interest by fostering social harmony and countering anti-national and anti-social elements. He emphasised that VHP activists are committed to cow protection, the safety of Hindu women and daughters, and upholding the honor of temples and revered saints. According to Bharat, the awakening of Hindu valour has delivered a fitting reply to jihadists and conspirators behind forced conversions.
Sanatan Dharma and Cultural Consciousness
Bharat explained that Sanatan signifies the eternal and indestructible, and those who attempt to erase it will perish. He noted that anti-national and anti-religious elements often try to malign it by associating it with untouchability and other social evils, but Sanatan is ingrained in every particle of the nation. The mission, he said, is to foster cultural consciousness and public awakening.
Methods of Awakening Hindu Society
Bharat highlighted that it is the collective duty to awaken Hindu society through discourses, foot marches, and conferences of saints and religious leaders. Volunteers, after training, resolve to propagate Hindu pride and identity, prevent religious conversions, and raise awareness within Hindu society about the core ideals of the VHP. Training camps provide opportunities to learn new techniques and cultivate values such as discipline, tolerance, and physical and intellectual growth.
