Bengaluru: A tragic incident occurred over the weekend when a seven-year-old girl, Musfira Begum, lost her life after a wall collapsed on her near Bowring Hospital in Shivajinagar. The accident happened during heavy rain, turning a joyful birthday shopping trip into a devastating tragedy.

Details of the Incident

Musfira, who was eagerly planning her seventh birthday celebration on May 3, had gone shopping with her mother Mubeen Taj and aunt Tabreen Taj. While walking through the bustling streets of Shivajinagar, a wall adjacent to Bowring Hospital suddenly gave way due to the heavy downpour, trapping the young girl under the debris. She did not survive the injuries.

Family Background

Musfira was the only daughter of Mubeen Taj and Chand Pasha, a real estate worker. The family resides in Venkateshpura near Kadugondanahalli. A family member, Hasnail, confirmed that both aunts accompanying Musfira sustained injuries in the incident. 'They are being treated in the hospital. But I do not have an update on their condition yet,' he added.

The local community has expressed shock and grief over the untimely death of the child. Authorities are investigating the structural integrity of the wall and the circumstances leading to the collapse.
