A major mishap was narrowly avoided in Jaipur on Thursday after cracks developed on a road near the power station at Hawa Sadak, leading to a cave-in-like situation. Police personnel present in the area promptly alerted the traffic control room, preventing any untoward incidents.

On Thursday evening, two-wheeler riders crossing the area reported that a sudden ditch on the road caused vehicles to lose balance. Acting swiftly, police placed a barricade directly over the damaged section to ensure vehicles avoided the spot and navigated carefully around it.
JDA Response
An area supervisor from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) arrived at the scene and took immediate action to manage the situation. A JDA official stated, "The structural failure was not a routine surface issue but stemmed from a deeper utility defect underneath the tarmac. This problem occurs due to leakage in pipes underneath. We will check the pipelines and ensure that traffic movement does not get affected."
The official added that steps are being taken to resolve the underground leakage issue before the cracked road surface is repaired to ensure safe vehicular movement.
