Delhi Fire: Boy Dies, Brother Injured; Short Circuit Suspected

A tragic incident occurred in northeast Delhi's Gokalpuri on Saturday, where a four-year-old boy lost his life and his five-year-old brother sustained injuries after a fire broke out while they were sleeping. Police suspect that a short circuit in the air conditioner may have triggered the blaze.

Incident Details

The fire erupted at a residence near Kardam Dharamshala. Upon arrival, police discovered that the two children had been left alone in a second-floor room by their parents, who had gone to work. The children were aged four and five years.

At around 3:15 pm, the children's grandmother noticed smoke emanating from the room. She rushed to the spot and found both children injured inside the smoke-filled room, as per police reports.
