A massive fire erupted at a warehouse in the Kamdhaj Nagar area of Nimbahera town in Chittorgarh district on Monday, causing extensive damage to stored goods. The blaze broke out at the three-storey warehouse belonging to Kabra Tent House, as confirmed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Dharmendra Singh.
Firefighting Efforts
Approximately a dozen fire tenders were dispatched to the scene, and after several hours of relentless firefighting, the flames were brought under control. The fire spread rapidly due to the presence of large quantities of highly combustible materials, including tents, cloth, decorative items, and other goods stored within the warehouse.
The flames reached the third floor of the building, compelling firefighters to make extensive efforts to contain the blaze. The intensity of the fire posed significant challenges to the emergency response teams.
Estimated Losses
According to initial estimates, goods worth several lakh rupees were destroyed in the fire. Police officials stated that the exact extent of the financial loss will be assessed after a detailed survey and after obtaining a statement from the warehouse owner.
Investigation and Casualties
Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident. The police are working to ascertain whether any safety protocols were violated.
