The Mumbai Traffic Police have announced temporary vehicular restrictions in Ghatkopar to combat persistent traffic congestion. According to an official statement, the majority of vehicle movement in the area occurs on Naidu Colony Road, which falls under the Vikhroli traffic division, leading to frequent traffic jams and numerous complaints from local residents.
One-Way Regulations Imposed
To address these issues, the traffic police have decided to enforce one-way movement regulations on a temporary basis. The affected roads include Naidu Colony Road (from Building No. 152 to Sky Signature Building) and Shree Kheteshwar Road (from MICL Building to Rajnigandha Building). These restrictions will be in effect from May 7 to August 8.
Impact on Commuters
During this period, vehicles will only be allowed to travel in a single direction on these stretches. The move is expected to streamline traffic flow, reduce bottlenecks, and improve overall commute times for residents and daily travelers. Authorities have urged citizens to plan their routes accordingly and follow the new traffic rules to avoid penalties.
