Father's Account and Allegations

The boy's father stated to TOI that the incident occurred in a five-storeyed building where the lift had been malfunctioning. He said, 'It is still not clear from which floor my son entered the lift. Around 7 pm, residents heard a loud sound and rushed to the spot. The lift was stuck between the first and second floors. By the time they found him, he had suffered severe injuries and was unconscious.' In his complaint to the RC Puram police, Venkateshwarlu alleged that the lift door had been malfunctioning for nearly 15 days and that repeated complaints had gone unaddressed.
