Jaipur Municipal Corporation Removes Temporary Encroachments

The vigilance squad of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) carried out a targeted drive on Wednesday to remove temporary encroachments across various areas of the city. Officials reported that the operation focused on multiple key locations, including Tonk Road, RUHS campus, Pratap Nagar Chaupati, Mahal Road, Satkar Shopping Center, Meghdhan Shopping Center, Khaitan Tower in Vidyadhar Nagar, Dhanashree Apartments in Vidyadhar Nagar, Manipal Hospital, the area under the Jhotwara Flyover, and Bajrang Colony in Jhotwara.

During the enforcement action, authorities seized goods equivalent to five Canter truckloads and collected carrying charges amounting to Rs 19,500 from the encroachers. An official stated, "We have removed the temporary encroachments and warned that repeat offenders would face heavy penalties and stricter enforcement action." The drive underscores the municipal corporation's commitment to maintaining public spaces and ensuring compliance with urban regulations.

Residents have welcomed the move, as encroachments often cause traffic congestion and hygiene issues. The JMC has urged citizens to report any new encroachments to facilitate timely action. Further drives are expected in other parts of the city in the coming weeks.
