Jaipur Police, JDA Demolish Rs 2 Crore Illegal Property

In a major crackdown against organised criminals and encroachers, the Jaipur South Police and the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on Wednesday jointly demolished illegal property worth Rs 2 crore allegedly linked to a history-sheeter in the Muhana area.

Details of the Demolition

According to the police, the accused, identified as history-sheeter Shankar, had illegally occupied the land for the last 12 to 13 years. The demolished property was spread across approximately 200 square yards on government land near Diggi Road in Jaipur.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Rajrishi Raj stated, “The encroachment included temporary and permanent structures built on prime government land near Muhana Mod. The illegal occupation had created traffic bottlenecks on the state highway, and locals were allegedly threatened whenever they objected to the encroachment.”

Continued Campaign Against Criminals

He further said that the campaign against history-sheeters and hardcore criminals would continue, and illegally acquired movable and immovable properties would be identified and demolished as per law.

Police records show that Shankar has around 11 criminal cases registered against him, mostly related to theft, housebreaking, and assault, along with several preventive actions under CrPC and BNSS provisions.

This joint operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement and civic authorities to reclaim public land and curb illegal activities in the region.
