A man was injured after unidentified assailants opened fire on him in the Ashok Nagar area of Jaipur on Wednesday. Police suspect the attack may be linked to personal enmity or a property dispute.
The injured individual, identified as Shahid, a resident of Bhatta Basti, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. He was immediately rushed to the Trauma Centre at SMS Hospital, where doctors confirmed that his condition is stable and he is out of danger.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police teams from both Ashok Nagar and SMS police stations arrived at the scene and launched an investigation. Preliminary inquiries suggest that the motive behind the shooting could be a dispute over property possession. However, law enforcement officials are also examining other possible angles.
Investigators are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and gathering forensic evidence to identify the perpetrators and establish the exact sequence of events. While no arrests have been made so far, a formal case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.
