Lucknow: In view of the severe heatwave, the basic education department has directed all Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) to ensure the availability of coolers, fans, exhaust fans, and generators. Strengthening girls’ education, KGBVs have been instructed to achieve cent percent attendance of students and staff as schools reopen after the summer break.
Digital Learning Push
To promote digital platform-based learning, schools have been directed to ensure the availability of computers, broadband connectivity, and unlimited data. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during a recent meeting, directed education officials to take time-bound action on 18 key points covering safety, quality education, digital learning, hostels, sports, and infrastructure.
Infrastructure and Facilities
KGBVs have been asked to equip themselves with modern facilities while providing a safe, well-equipped, and inclusive learning environment. Authorities have also been instructed to streamline food supply within a week. Focus has been placed on completing pending works such as furniture procurement and installation of essential facilities within set timelines.
Scholarship and Hostel Updates
Scholarship distribution will be streamlined to ensure timely benefits, while hostel and infrastructure projects nearing completion will be made operational promptly.
