Madurai: District collector of Madurai, K J Praveen Kumar, inaugurated a training session for census officers on Tuesday morning in preparation for the Indian Census 2027. The collector also conducted a consultation meeting with officers regarding the various preparations for the census.

During the session, the collector discussed measures for conducting the census accurately and on time. This included holding training sessions for enumerators and supervisors, procedures for accurately recording household and family details, information technology facilities, and several other public awareness initiatives.
Coordination and Guidelines
Additionally, the collector instructed all departmental officers involved in the census to work in coordination with each other and carry out the census activities efficiently as per the guidelines issued by the government. The emphasis was on seamless collaboration to ensure the success of the census operations.
