A 55-year-old man allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Khudda Jassu village on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Naresh Kumar, a daily wage labourer.

Incident Details

According to police, they received information about a man having hung himself, prompting a team to rush to the spot. The deceased's brother, Lakhi Ram, stated that Naresh lived on the upper floor of the house. Lakhi reportedly discovered Naresh hanging from the ceiling when he went upstairs. The family immediately brought him down and rushed him to GMSH-16, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Possible Causes

Family members informed the police that Naresh was addicted to alcohol and had been under significant financial stress for some time, which had adversely affected his mental well-being. Authorities are investigating the matter further.
