The victim, identified as Ravi Kumar, a resident of the Daba area, was returning home late on Tuesday night when he was accosted by the accused near the industrial area. The assailants allegedly demanded money and when Kumar resisted, they beat him with iron rods and sticks. After robbing him of Rs 1,500, they fled the scene.

Passersby found Kumar lying unconscious and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The police were informed and a case was registered.

Arrests Made

Based on CCTV footage and witness statements, the police identified the suspects as Sunil and Ramesh, both factory workers in the same area.
