The Deputy Commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has issued a directive to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards the installation of flex boards on road dividers across the city. The announcement was made following observations that rules were being flouted even during government programmes.

Speaking to officials, the DC stated, "If organisers mount flexes on their own property, we do not have any issue. However, the MCC will not allow flex boards to be installed on road dividers. Of late, I have noticed that even for government programmes, flexes were installed on dividers. There is a need for strict implementation of the rules." The statement underscores the corporation's commitment to ensuring public safety and maintaining clear sightlines on roads.
