Indore witnessed multiple fire incidents across different parts of the city on Wednesday morning, resulting in significant property damage but no loss of life.
Fire at Mahidpurwala Furniture Building
A fire was reported around 10:30 am on the seventh floor of the Mahidpurwala Furniture building near Radisson Square. Fire brigade vehicles arrived at the location within minutes of receiving the alert. Officials stated that the fire originated in the rear portion of the tower, leading to heavy smoke accumulation inside the building. Workers confirmed that no one was present on the floor at the time of the incident. Fire personnel, with assistance from employees on the premises, managed to contain the blaze before it could spread further. Initial investigations point to a possible short circuit as the cause.
Fire at Belamorte Park Township Office
Another fire broke out early in the morning at the maintenance office of Belamorte Park township in the Lasudia area. Fire brigade officials noted that the office also housed the builder’s operational setup. Around 5 am, a security guard noticed smoke billowing from the premises and alerted nearby residents. Locals initially attempted to control the flames but failed as the fire spread rapidly through the office. Fire brigade teams arrived and successfully doused the flames.
Damage and Investigation
Fire official Sushil Kumar Dubey reported that furniture, electronic items, and several important documents stored in the office were destroyed in the blaze. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities are continuing their investigation to ascertain the origin of the incident.
