Parents Hire Killer to Murder Drug-Addict Son

In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha district, the parents and younger brother of a 32-year-old drug addict allegedly hired a contract killer for Rs 5 lakh to murder him. The mother even sold her jewelry worth Rs 55,000 to arrange the advance payment for the killing.

Body Found in Canal

According to police, Dushyant Kumar, a resident of Nasirpur village in Amroha, was found dead in a dry canal near a forested area on Saturday morning. The post-mortem revealed that he was strangled to death.

Family's Grievances

Amroha Superintendent of Police Lakhan Singh Yadav said, "In an intoxicated state, Dushyant used to frequently abuse and assault his parents, who are in their 60s. Upset by his behavior, his brother Sankit, along with parents Peetam Singh and Maya Devi, planned to eliminate him and decided to hire Jogendra, a local criminal, for Rs 5 lakh."
