Ten women workers sustained minor injuries after a minivan overturned near Kottapatti in Dindigul district on Wednesday morning, according to police reports.
Accident Details
The incident occurred around 7 am on the Kottapatti–Alangulam Road, near Kottapatti Pirivu. The minivan, operated by a private textile mill located in Thomaiyarpuram, was transporting the workers when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
Rescue and Medical Response
Local residents quickly rushed to the scene and assisted in rescuing the injured women. All ten victims were subsequently taken to the Dindigul Government Medical College Hospital for treatment. Medical officials confirmed that the injuries were minor and the workers are in stable condition.
Investigation Underway
The Dindigul Taluk police have initiated an inquiry into the accident. As of now, no case has been registered. Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the driver losing control, including possible mechanical failure or driver error.
