Three people were killed and several others injured after a tourist bus collided with a tanker lorry near Tarsi in Karnataka on Sunday. The accident occurred on National Highway 66, near the Tarsi toll plaza, around 3:30 am.

The bus, which was traveling from Mumbai to Mangaluru, crashed into the rear of the tanker lorry that was parked on the highway. The impact was so severe that the bus's front portion was completely mangled. The deceased have been identified as the bus driver, a cleaner, and a passenger. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Rescue Operations
Local police and emergency services arrived at the scene soon after the accident. The injured were extricated from the wreckage using cutting equipment. Traffic on the highway was disrupted for several hours as rescue operations were underway.
