Three people lost their lives in a tragic road accident that occurred near Adoni in Kurnool district late on Friday night. According to local police, the incident took place when two young men, identified as Mahendra and Veeresh, residents of Ganekal village, were riding a motorcycle at an extremely high speed. They collided with an autorickshaw near Pandavagallu village.
Details of the accident
The impact of the collision was so severe that Mahendra and Veeresh succumbed to their injuries before they could be taken to a hospital. A middle-aged man named Vishwanath, a resident of Kowthalam village, was traveling in the autorickshaw at the time of the accident. He sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to the government hospital in Adoni. Sadly, Vishwanath also died while undergoing treatment.
Police investigation
The Adoni police have registered a case and sent the bodies of the deceased for postmortem examination. Preliminary investigation suggests that rash and negligent driving by the two youths was the primary cause of the accident. Authorities are continuing their inquiry into the matter.
