KRISHNAGIRI: The bodies of two men were discovered burnt on the roadside in the Veppalampattiy and Kodukur areas along the road leading to Rayakottai, near Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu. Local residents were horrified to see the charred remains and promptly alerted the Krishnagiri taluk police.
Police Investigation Underway
Krishnagiri District Superintendent of Police P Thangadurai conducted an on-the-spot inspection. Following the report, inspectors from Krishnagiri, Krishnagiri Taluk, Rayakottai, Denkanikottai, Guruparapalli, Veppanahalli, and Maharaja Kadai rushed to the scene. They recovered the burnt bodies and sent them to the Krishnagiri Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Efforts to Identify the Deceased
Police are actively investigating to establish the identities of the deceased. A sniffer dog was brought to the location where the bodies were found, and a search operation is underway. “A special team of eight inspectors has been formed to investigate the deaths of the youths,” the SP said. An investigation is underway.
