Hazaribag: In a significant law enforcement operation, a total of 47 criminals, among them four thieves, were apprehended on Monday night as part of a special drive conducted under the jurisdiction of the Lohsingna police station, police officials confirmed on Tuesday.
Details of the Arrests
Hazaribag Superintendent of Police (SP) Aman Kumar provided details of the operation. He stated that a theft had occurred on the night of May 15 at a residence in Mandai village, which falls under the Lohsingna police station limits. The four individuals suspected of carrying out the theft have been identified as Farid Alam alias Bhopat, Nishant Hussain alias Nishu, Talib Khan, and Abbu Obaida. All four have been forwarded to judicial custody, the SP added.
During the operation, police recovered a variety of stolen items from the possession of the accused. These items included brass utensils such as plates, bowls, lamps, pots, buckets, and glasses. Additionally, a drill machine and a cutter machine were also seized, according to the SP.
Extensive Raids Across the District
Acting on the directives of the SP, a special raid was conducted across the district on Monday night. The operation involved 30 teams comprising approximately 120 officers. These teams carried out raids at 70 different locations, leading to the arrest of 43 individuals accused in various crimes, the SP said.
Furthermore, police executed 39 warrants and took actions related to property attachments as part of the drive. The SP emphasized that such operations are part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the region.
