Former Punjab minister and senior Congress leader, Rana Gurjit Singh, has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of preparing fake votes for the upcoming Mohali civic elections. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Singh claimed that AAP is engaging in unethical practices to influence the election outcome.

Singh alleged that AAP workers are being instructed to create fictitious voter registrations in certain wards of Mohali. He stated, "We have received credible information that AAP is systematically preparing fake votes to manipulate the election results. This is a serious threat to the democratic process." He urged the Election Commission to investigate the matter thoroughly and take strict action against those involved.
AAP Rejects Claims
The AAP has strongly denied the allegations, calling them baseless and politically motivated. Party spokesperson, Neel Garg, said, "These are false accusations made by a desperate Congress leader who fears defeat. AAP believes in free and fair elections and has nothing to hide." Garg added that the party would welcome any investigation by the Election Commission.
