Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Dr Sushil Gupta chaired an organisational meeting of party office-bearers and workers in Sonepat on Sunday. The gathering was aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroots level and raising a voice against the state government’s alleged anti-people policies.
Strategy Formulation and Upcoming Goals
During the meeting, a detailed strategy was formulated to bolster the party’s presence at the grassroots level. Upcoming goals were set to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government’s policies, which AAP leaders described as anti-people. The meeting focused on mobilising workers and enhancing party outreach across Haryana.
Attack on BJP Over Ram Temple Donation Theft
Addressing the workers, Dr Gupta launched a scathing attack on the BJP government regarding the Ram Temple donation theft case in Ayodhya. He condemned the government in strong words, alleging that it was avoiding action against the “big robbers” involved in the alleged scam and instead trying to protect them. The case has sparked controversy, with AAP demanding a thorough investigation and accountability.
Haryana’s Water Rights Issue
Raising the issue of Haryana’s water rights, Dr Gupta alleged that under pressure from Union Minister Amit Shah, Haryana’s share of water was being diverted to Rajasthan. He asserted that the Aam Aadmi Party would not tolerate any interference with Haryana’s rights. The statement comes amid ongoing disputes over water sharing between states in northern India.
Law and Order Concerns
Expressing deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, Dr Gupta said the BJP-led state government had completely failed to maintain security and ensure the rule of law. He alleged that extortion was being openly demanded by criminals and threats were being issued across the state. He further said that women felt unsafe, while crime and drug abuse were also on the rise in Sonepat. The party called for immediate action to address these issues.
