AAP Sounds Election Bugle with 'One More Chance' Slogan in Muktsar

The Aam Aadmi Party officially launched its campaign for the 2027 Punjab assembly elections on Wednesday. The party chose the historic Maghi Mela in Muktsar as the venue for this significant announcement.

New Slogan Builds on Previous Campaign Promise

Drawing inspiration from their successful 2022 election slogan "Ik Mauka," AAP leaders introduced "Ik Mauka Hor" which translates to "One More Chance." This new phrase represents the party's appeal to voters for a second consecutive term in Punjab.

AAP state president Aman Arora presented the slogan during the well-attended rally. Former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia immediately endorsed the campaign message, showing unity between the party's Punjab and Delhi leadership.

Chief Minister Makes Strong Case for Continuity

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed the enthusiastic crowd with confidence. He framed the upcoming electoral battle as a continuation of Punjab's historic struggles against oppression.

"Just as forty Sikh martyrs fought against tyranny at Muktsar centuries ago, we now fight against political parties that have systematically looted Punjab," Mann declared. He urged voters to choose between returning to "looters" or continuing with AAP's service-oriented governance.

The Chief Minister specifically targeted opposition parties during his speech. He commented on Congress's inability to organize a conference due to internal disagreements. Regarding Shiromani Akali Dal, Mann claimed their rally attracted so few attendees that they ended it prematurely.

"We know many people who arrived in Akali Dal buses actually attended our conference instead," Mann stated with evident satisfaction.

Highlighting Government Achievements and Future Plans

Arora and Mann both emphasized the work accomplished during AAP's first four-year term. They presented this track record as justification for seeking another opportunity to govern.

The Chief Minister announced several upcoming initiatives during his address. He confirmed the imminent launch of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojna, a health insurance scheme for Punjab residents.

More significantly, Mann hinted at fulfilling a major pre-election promise in the next state budget. The government plans to implement a Rs 1,000 monthly allowance for all women above eighteen years of age across Punjab.

This marked AAP's first conference at the Maghi Mela after an eight-year absence. The choice of venue carried symbolic weight, connecting contemporary political struggles with Punjab's rich history of resistance and sacrifice.

The rally demonstrated AAP's organizational strength in Punjab while setting the stage for what promises to be a fiercely contested election in 2027.
