The Congress party managed to win two wards, while one ward was claimed by an independent candidate. The voting percentage gradually increased throughout the day: 19.54% by 10:00 AM, 32.38% by 12:00 PM, 57.06% by 2:00 PM, and 75.42% by 4:00 PM. The final turnout stood at an impressive 76.33%.

Counting and Results

The counting process was conducted peacefully, and supporters of winning candidates celebrated in the area. Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Additional District Election Officer Nikas Kumar confirmed that AAP candidates won in Ward Numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. In Ward No. 1, Harbhajan Kaur secured 146 votes. In Ward No. 2, Mindo received 120 votes. In Ward No. 3, Ravinder Kumar got 134 votes. In Ward No. 4, Kulwinder Kaur obtained 196 votes. In Ward No. 7, Harmesh Kumar won with 158 votes, and in Ward No. 8, Pooja Rani secured 130 votes.

Congress and Independent Victories

In Ward No. 5, Congress candidate Hira Lal won with 93 votes, while in Ward No. 6, Daljinder Sohal of Congress secured 131 votes. In Ward No. 9, independent candidate Sunita emerged victorious with 141 votes.

The overall election process was marked by high voter engagement and smooth conduct, with the final results reflecting the preferences of the electorate in Shamchurasi Nagar Council.
