Akhilesh Yadav Levels Serious Allegations Against BJP Over Constitutional Values
In a fiery address to party workers in Lucknow on Tuesday, Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing them of failing to uphold the Constitution drafted by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister asserted that the BJP is actively engaged in conspiracies aimed at dismantling the democratic framework of India.
Allegations of Democratic Erosion and Constitutional Disregard
Akhilesh Yadav declared, "The BJP is intent on hatching conspiracies to destroy the sanctity of India's democratic system. They are making a mockery of democratic principles and show no belief in the Constitution crafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar." He emphasized that this represents a fundamental threat to the nation's governance structure.
The SP leader positioned his party's PDA coalition—comprising Pichhde (backward classes), Dalits, and Alpsankhyaks (minorities)—as the primary opposition force against BJP's political designs. "The BJP recognizes this growing unity, which is why they are panic-stricken. The consolidation of PDA has significantly amplified their concerns," Yadav stated, urging party cadres to remain vigilant against potential traps set by the government ahead of elections.
Vision for Social Justice and Governance Change
Looking toward the 2027 assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav made ambitious promises about social justice implementation. "Once the Samajwadi Party forms the government after 2027, PDA communities will receive their rightful share, privileges, and dignity," he affirmed. He contrasted this vision with what he described as BJP's opposition to social justice concepts, stating, "The BJP is fundamentally against social justice, while our aim is to establish a state where social justice becomes the norm rather than an exception."
Criticism of Economic Policies and Public Services
Yadav extended his criticism to the BJP's economic record in Uttar Pradesh, citing rampant unemployment and unprecedented price rises as evidence of governance failure. He specifically targeted the electricity sector, claiming, "The BJP has devastated the power infrastructure, and citizens are exhausted by prepaid meter systems."
The SP chief characterized prepaid meters as another deceptive mechanism devised by the BJP government to exploit economically disadvantaged consumers. Drawing parallels with agricultural policies, he noted, "Previously, they manipulated farmers through nano urea schemes by reducing fertilizer quantities without transparency. Now, electricity consumers face similar exploitation." Yadav pledged that the Samajwadi Party stands firmly with those suffering from such practices.
Condolences for Community Leader
In a separate development, Akhilesh Yadav expressed profound sorrow over the passing of All India Milli Council national president Abdullah Mugesi from Meerut. In a Sunday statement, the SP leader conveyed, "The demise of Mohtamim Hazrat Maulana Abdullah Mugesi Sahab is deeply saddening. I extend my heartfelt condolences and pay sincere tributes to his memory." This gesture highlighted the party's engagement with diverse community leadership across Uttar Pradesh.
