Amit Shah Vows to End DMK's 'Dynastic Rule' in Tamil Nadu, Slams Corruption
Amit Shah: DMK's dream of Udhayanidhi as CM will never come true

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the ruling DMK government in Tamil Nadu, labeling it the "most corrupt" in the country and vowing to end its "dynastic rule." He made these remarks while addressing a large public gathering in Pudukottai on Sunday.

Shah's Blunt Message on Dynasty Politics

Speaking at the valedictory function of BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran's statewide rally, Shah directly targeted Chief Minister M K Stalin. He asserted that Stalin's alleged objective of making his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the chief minister would remain an unfulfilled dream. "Stalin wants to make Udhayanidhi chief minister. But Stalin Babu, I want to tell you — this dream will never come true," Shah declared.

He emphasized that the time has come to put an end to dynasty politics in Tamil Nadu, a change he claimed would materialize when the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) comes to power in the state. Shah pledged that the NDA would remove the DMK government "at all cost" and form the new administration this year.

Accusations of Anti-Hindu Policies and Corruption

The senior BJP leader accused the DMK government of systematically undermining Hindu values and practices. He claimed that the constitutional rights of Hindus were being eroded, citing restrictions on processions and idol immersion. Shah also referenced controversial statements by some DMK leaders who had equated Sanatana Dharma with diseases like dengue and malaria.

On the issue of corruption, Shah was unequivocal. He stated that the DMK government had become synonymous with graft, alleging that "almost every DMK neta has been named in one scam or another." He further claimed there was widespread public anger against the administration for failing to fulfill even a few of its election promises.

Defending BJP's Tamil Connect and Alliance Math

Countering the DMK's narrative of the BJP being anti-Tamil, Shah highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts for the state. He pointed out that Modi had appointed C P Radhakrishnan, a native of Tamil Nadu, as the Vice-President of India.

Shah also addressed the recent Lok Sabha elections, calling the BJP-AIADMK alliance a "natural" one. He expressed regret that the parties contested separately in the 2024 polls, arguing that a combined vote share would have secured the NDA 36 seats in Tamil Nadu. Expressing confidence, Shah said the victorious trend for the BJP seen in several states in 2024 and 2025 would be repeated in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

Other Highlights from the Pudukottai Event

BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran, who spoke before Shah, stated that his campaign rally revealed voters' disillusionment with the DMK government. He also blamed former minister Senthilbalaji for the Karur stampede incident.

The event was attended by senior leaders including Tamil Nadu election in-charge and Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Minister of State L Murugan, former state president K Annamalai, and other functionaries. Later, Amit Shah chaired a core committee meeting with state leaders in Trichy to strategize for the upcoming political battles in the state.
