Anbumani Ramadoss Claims Tsunami-Like Anti-Incumbency Wave

Chennai: PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss, commenting on the brisk pace of polling, claimed on Thursday that a massive tsunami-like wave of anti-incumbency has swept across Tamil Nadu. In a post on X, he expressed confidence that the AIADMK-led alliance would secure a historic landslide victory.

Gratitude to Voters

Expressing gratitude to voters, Anbumani said signs of a regime change were clearly visible on the faces of people emerging from polling booths. He recalled his campaign launched ten months ago, during which he predicted that public frustration with the current government would culminate in an electoral earthquake.

Electoral Predictions

When I began my journey ten months ago, I saw seeds of discontent. Today, that has transformed into a tsunami that will sweep the current rulers out of power, he said. The liberation of Tamil Nadu begins today; it will bloom fully on May 4.

Reasons for Anti-Incumbency

Anbumani listed several factors that have turned the tide against the DMK-led alliance. He highlighted the hellish life experienced by citizens due to recurring sexual violence against women and children, and the unchecked availability of ganja and other drugs as major reasons for public anger. He also pointed to unbearable tax hikes, rising prices, decline in agriculture and employment sectors, and a systemic collapse in education and healthcare over the last five years.

Thanks to Allies and Cadres

He extended heartfelt thanks to voters who cast ballots for PMK, AIADMK, and other alliance partners, and lauded the tireless work of functionaries and cadres of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The people of Tamil Nadu have waited for this day to end their suffering. We will celebrate a complete victory on May 4, he concluded.
