The Election Commission's innovative voter awareness campaigns are weaving mascots, influencers, cultural activities, and even water taps into the fabric of daily existence to inspire citizens to exercise their democratic right.

Creative Outreach Across Districts

Districts throughout Assam are experimenting with diverse and imaginative outreach methods. From traditional street plays and rangoli competitions to modern digital poster-making events and slogan-writing contests, the campaign is leveraging both heritage and technology. The office of the state chief electoral officer (CEO) highlighted several notable collaborations that are amplifying the message.

Jorhat district has enlisted popular northeast vlogger Abhinav Borah, known as LazyGuy, to connect with younger audiences through digital platforms. Meanwhile, Lakhimpur has roped in actor Rajiv Duwari to lend local star power to the initiative. Adding further appeal, Rakesh Banik, the first international para-cyclist from the northeast, is promoting voter awareness across multiple districts, showcasing inclusivity and resilience.

  • Ganabandhu in Sonitpur

  • Chameli in Golaghat
