Bengaluru traffic advisory has been issued ahead of DK Shivakumar's swearing-in as the chief minister of Karnataka. The ceremony is scheduled for 4:05 pm on Wednesday at the Lok Bhavan Glass House, following Siddaramaiah's resignation last week.
Traffic Restrictions and Blockades
The Bengaluru Police have announced several road closures and traffic diversions to ensure smooth conduct of the event. Key roads leading to Lok Bhavan will be blocked from noon onwards. Commuters are advised to avoid the following routes:
- K R Circle to Vidhana Soudha
- Ambedkar Veedhi
- Dr. B R Ambedkar Road
- Raj Bhavan Road
Alternate Routes
To minimize inconvenience, the police have suggested alternate routes for commuters. Those traveling from Majestic towards Vidhana Soudha can take the following detours:
- Use Mysore Road to reach K R Market and then proceed via Dhanvantri Road
- From Cauvery Bhavan, take the road towards Hudson Circle and then to Shivananda Circle
- Vehicles heading to MG Road can use the road via Cubbon Park
Commuters are requested to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with traffic police personnel stationed at key junctions. The advisory remains in effect until the conclusion of the ceremony.
