In preparation for the grand inauguration of the Metro Rail project connecting Subhash Nagar to AIIMS, the Bhopal Traffic Police have issued a crucial traffic advisory. The event, scheduled for Saturday, will be attended by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Cabinet Ministers, and other dignitaries, necessitating significant route changes to ensure a smooth ceremony.
Traffic Diversion Plan and Timings
The traffic restrictions will come into effect from 5 pm onwards on Saturday. A major diversion will be implemented for traffic moving from Jinsi Square towards the beginning of the Subhash Nagar Rail Over Bridge (ROB). Commuters are strongly advised to avoid this stretch during the specified time to prevent inconvenience.
Alternative Routes for Commuters
To manage the expected congestion, the traffic police have outlined specific alternative paths. Vehicles coming from the SBI Trisection direction should use the route via Jail Headquarters and the Control Room, proceeding over the Subhash Nagar ROB to reach Prabhat.
For smaller vehicles, a separate route has been designated. Two-wheelers, cars, and jeeps can travel via the Subhash Nagar ROB to reach Prabhat and Bogda Pul. The police have urged all drivers to follow these diversions and comply with on-ground instructions for a seamless traffic flow.
Authorities Appeal for Cooperation
The Bhopal Traffic Police have requested full public cooperation to ensure the inauguration event proceeds without any hiccups. They have emphasized adherence to traffic rules and the announced diversions. For any issues or queries related to the traffic arrangements, citizens can contact the control room at 0755-2677340 or 0755-2443850. Additionally, concerns can be raised via WhatsApp on the number 7587602055.
The inauguration of the Subhash Nagar to AIIMS Metro Rail stretch marks a significant milestone in Bhopal's urban infrastructure development, promising improved connectivity for residents.
