Tragic Car Crash in Bihar Claims Lives of Three Youths After High-Speed Live-Stream

A festive outing turned into a devastating tragedy in Madhepura district, Bihar, late Friday night, as four young friends lost their lives in a horrific car accident after live-streaming their high-speed joyride on Facebook. The incident occurred when their speeding SUV lost control, crashed through a bridge railing, and plunged into the Sursar river, resulting in three confirmed deaths and one person still missing.

Details of the Fatal Joyride and Accident

The group had left Madhepura on Friday evening to attend the Dinabhadhri fair in Gwalpara. Around midnight, they went live on social media for nearly three minutes, dancing inside the moving car to loud Bhojpuri songs. The video footage showed the speedometer repeatedly touching 140 kmph as the youths laughed, shouted, and referred to themselves as "Rangbaaz". Barely an hour after the live session, the accident took place on National Highway 106 near the Arar Ghat bridge under the Arar police station area.

Police received information around 2 am on Saturday and immediately launched a rescue operation. The damaged car was found with shattered windows and deployed airbags. Two bodies were recovered from inside the vehicle, while the third was found nearby in the morning. Udakishunganj sub-divisional police officer Avinash Kumar stated that a State Disaster Response Force team had been deployed to search for the fourth person, but the body had not been located by Saturday night.
