Significant Year-on-Year Growth Despite Lower Registration Volume

This indicates a strategic shift towards higher-value transactions and improved revenue per document.

Statewide, the total number of documents registered reached 1,593,526. Despite the overall decline in volume, the average income per document rose from Rs 43,670 to Rs 49,699, reflecting enhanced revenue efficiency.
Record-Breaking Single-Day Collection
On March 31, the department set a new benchmark by generating Rs 107.74 crore in a single day, surpassing the previous record of Rs 67 crore established in 2024-25. This milestone underscores the department's capability to manage high-volume transactions effectively, contributing to the overall fiscal success.
The department's performance in 2025-26 not only highlights its ability to exceed financial targets but also points to strategic improvements in revenue collection processes, even amid challenges such as reduced registration volumes. This success is expected to bolster state finances and support various developmental initiatives in Bihar.
