The Bihar government on Sunday effected a reshuffle of three IAS officers, including the governor's principal secretary Robert L Chongthu. Chongthu has been posted in the minority welfare department in the same capacity.
New Appointments
In place of Chongthu, the government has appointed Gopal Meena, secretary of the revenue and land reforms department, as the governor's secretary. Meena will also hold the additional charge of vigilance commissioner in the general administration department. Meanwhile, Mohammad Sohel will continue to hold the charge as vigilance commissioner in the general administration department.
District Magistrate Change
Agriculture department special secretary Shailendra Kumar has been appointed as the district magistrate of Lakhisarai district.
This administrative reshuffle is part of routine transfers and postings carried out by the state government to optimize administrative efficiency.
