Birthday Brawl Turns Violent: Knife Attack in Indore

A birthday celebration in Indore's Pardeshipura area took a violent turn late on May 31, resulting in a knife attack that left a man seriously injured. The police swiftly arrested three individuals in connection with the incident.

Details of the Incident

According to Additional DCP Amrendra Singh, the incident occurred around 11 pm at Janata Quarter in Pardeshipura. Jayesh Sankat was celebrating his birthday with friends Rajdeep Singh Pandha, also known as Mangu Sardar, and Nitin Rao. The group was reportedly consuming alcohol when a heated argument broke out between Mangu Sardar and Kalu Maratha, stemming from an old rivalry.

The Assault

Police reports indicate that Kalu Maratha and another individual, Goldy alias Guruvinder Singh, allegedly assaulted Mangu Sardar. They attacked him with a knife, inflicting serious injuries to his head and nose. A third accused, Vinod alias Pannub, also manhandled the victim during the altercation.

Legal Action and Arrests

Based on a complaint filed by the victim, the Pardeshipura police registered a case under charges of attempt to murder and other relevant offenses. A police team swiftly tracked down and arrested all three accused within a few hours of the attack. The knife used in the assault was also seized during the operation.

The police have assured that a thorough investigation is underway and that the accused will be produced before the court. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
