BJP Alleges Govt Intimidation in Punjab Warehousing DM Case

BJP Leader Sunil Jakhar Levels Serious Allegations Against Punjab Government

In a strongly worded social media post, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sunil Jakhar has made explosive allegations against the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government. Jakhar claims that the reported disconnection of electricity at the residence of Warehousing Corporation District Manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, coupled with the presence of suspicious individuals near the house, constitutes a deliberate attempt to intimidate the grieving family.

Direct Questions to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann

Addressing Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann directly in his message, Jakhar posed sharp and pointed questions. "Chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann ji, all this is happening under your government. Has your government fallen to such a level? Is there even a little morality left?" he questioned, highlighting what he described as a pattern of harassment.

Jakhar referenced previous incidents, alleging that a state minister had mentally harassed DM Gagandeep Singh to such an extent that he was ultimately forced to commit suicide. "Now under your rule, what kind of tactics are being used to break a family that is fighting for justice?" he demanded to know, suggesting the current actions were part of a systematic campaign.

Demand for CBI Investigation and Security

The BJP leader pointed out that the state government has neither provided security to the family nor ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry into the matter. "Attempts are being made to intimidate the family with the backing of the government. BJP strongly condemns such actions," he stated unequivocally in his post.

Jakhar emphasized that this situation precisely demonstrates why a CBI investigation into the case is absolutely necessary. "Entire Punjab is demanding it," he asserted, claiming widespread public support for an independent probe.

Political Support and Warning

In a show of solidarity, Jakhar assured the Randhawa family that they should not feel isolated in their struggle. "The family should not feel alone, as the BJP and the people of Punjab stand with them," he declared, positioning his party as champions of justice in this matter.

The BJP leader concluded with a pointed remark directed at those he believes are influencing the chief minister from Delhi. "Those in Delhi guiding the chief minister may not understand what Punjabis are made of," he warned, suggesting that external political forces were behind the alleged intimidation tactics and underestimating the resilience of the Punjabi people.

This development adds another layer of political tension in Punjab, where the opposition BJP has been increasingly vocal about what it describes as governance failures and intimidation tactics by the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government. The allegations concerning the Warehousing Corporation DM's family have now become a significant point of political contention, with demands for immediate intervention and investigation growing louder.
