Nainar Nagenthran performed the traditional Muhurthakaal ceremony at Mandela Nagar near Madurai Airport, symbolically beginning the groundwork for the Prime Minister's visit. The ceremony was attended by prominent AIADMK MLAs including Sellur K Raju, R B Udhayakumar, and V V Rajan Chellappa, showcasing the solidarity within the NDA coalition.
Addressing reporters after the ceremony, Nainar expressed unwavering confidence in the NDA's prospects. "All alliance party leaders will take part in the campaign to be held in Madurai," he declared, emphasizing the united front presented by the coalition led by AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami.
Questions Raised About DMK-Congress Stability
The BJP leader pointed to what he described as visible cracks in the opposition alliance, specifically citing repeated public statements by Virudhunagar MP Manickam Tagore. Nainar highlighted Tagore's demand for an apology from DMK MLA G Thalapathi as evidence of internal discord, questioning the long-term viability of the coalition.
Regarding MP Kanimozhi's recent meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Nainar posed a pointed question: "It is a question mark whether the Congress will continue in the DMK alliance." This remark underscores the BJP's strategy to highlight perceived instability within the opposition ranks.

Nainar Nagenthran further accused the ruling DMK government of failing to fulfill several key election promises made to the people of Tamil Nadu. He referenced the recent custodial death of temple security guard B Ajith Kumar in Thiruppuvanam, Sivaganga district, to question the administration's law and order capabilities.
"How can a government that has not appointed a DGP maintain law and order?" he asked, drawing attention to what he characterized as administrative failures under the current regime.

When questioned about potential official announcements during Prime Minister Modi's visit, particularly regarding the inauguration of Madurai AIIMS, Nainar offered an intriguing response. "Whatever you aim for, it will be there," he stated, hinting at possible significant developments that might be unveiled during the rally.
