Kottayam: BJP state vice-president Shone George said the only path left for Kerala Congress (Mani) is to join the NDA. Speaking to reporters in Kottayam on Saturday, George stated that if KC(M) expressed willingness to be part of the NDA alliance, the front brass would discuss it. He added that if the Mani group went to the UDF, it would not get any seats to contest.
Defending Party Actions
Shone George remarked that if it was wrong for BJP functionaries to visit MG University office and congratulate the new vice-chancellor, they would repeat that “mistake.” He questioned why there was no objection when the university functioned like a CPM party office or when colleges were turned into their goon hubs. He asked whether congratulating a good vice-chancellor was what was being called wrong.
Call for Clarity
Shone George said that if the higher education minister had objections to university appointments, he should state them clearly.
