BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sikander Kumar on Thursday urged party workers to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level and intensify public outreach efforts during the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Camp in Kangra district.
Focus on Organisational Expansion
Speaking on the second day of the camp, Kumar emphasised that the party's organisational expansion should cover both geographical areas and public outreach. He called on workers to strengthen village centres and booth-level units to ensure that every section of society—including youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged—is made aware of the BJP's ideology and programmes.
Attack on Congress Government
The MP launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, accusing it of poor governance and a lack of development. He alleged that the state government had failed to fulfil its promises and that development works had come to a standstill due to its policies, unfulfilled guarantees, and administrative failure. Kumar urged party workers to expose the government's shortcomings at the grassroots level.
Central Schemes and Vision
Kumar highlighted that welfare schemes of the Central Government have benefited people across the country. He called upon party workers to make every household aware of the Central Government's flagship programmes and achievements, and to mobilise public support. He also appealed to cadres to work collectively towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', stating that the goal of a developed India by 2047 could be achieved through dedicated organisational efforts.
Camp Attendance
The session was attended by MLA Pawan Kajal, state spokesperson Rakesh Sharma, district president Sachin Sharma, former MLA Vishal Nehria, and other senior party office-bearers and workers from Kangra district.
