BJP Praises Coastal SSLC Results, Slams Kalaburagi

The Dakshina Kannada district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has praised the outstanding performance of coastal districts in the SSLC examinations while sharply criticizing the leadership in Kalaburagi district for its poor results, describing it as a reflection of long-standing administrative failures.

Coastal Districts Excel in SSLC Exams

In a press release, the party highlighted that Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts secured the first and second ranks respectively in the SSLC examination, underscoring the region's strong commitment to education. Arun G Shet, spokesperson for the Dakshina Kannada District BJP unit, congratulated all students who successfully passed the examination.

Criticism of Kalaburagi Leadership

At the same time, Shet took aim at Kalaburagi district, which is represented by minister Priyank Kharge, for ranking last in the state. He termed the outcome "regrettable" and pointed out that despite the constituency being represented by the family of Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge for over five decades, there has been no meaningful improvement in the education sector. The party accused the leadership of a "complete failure" in addressing educational challenges.

Allegations of Diversion Tactics

The BJP further alleged that the Congress leadership in Kalaburagi is attempting to divert attention from the poor condition of their own district by repeatedly criticizing the undivided Dakshina Kannada region and targeting organizations such as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and other Hindutva groups. Shet stated that while these organizations are working towards positive social change, the continued criticism against them is unwarranted and baseless.

The party reiterated its call for focused efforts to improve educational outcomes in underperforming regions and urged the state government to take corrective measures.
