The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday suspended four workers from its primary membership for allegedly contesting against official party candidates and engaging in anti-party activities during the Solan municipal corporation elections.
Suspended Workers
The suspended workers include Gaurav Rajput, mandal co-incharge of the IT department from ward No. 3; Rajni Rajput, state executive member of the BJP Mahila Morcha; and Rampal and Mukesh Verma from ward No. 7 in Solan.
Action by State President
The BJP state president, Rajeev Bindal, ordered the suspension following recommendations from the party's disciplinary committee, which was constituted for the panchayati raj and urban local body elections.
This decisive action underscores the party's commitment to maintaining discipline and ensuring that all members adhere to party guidelines during elections.
