Prayagraj: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Sunday drew a sharp contrast between political parties, asserting that while the Samajwadi Party (SP) depends on goons, criminals, the mafia, and rioters, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is powered by 'god-like' workers whose primary objective is to serve 'Maa Bharati'. He urged party leaders and workers to continue working with determination, stating that victory in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly polls would serve as a guarantee for subsequent success in the 2029 general elections.
Training Workshop Inaugurated
Maurya inaugurated the two-day 'Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay district training workshop', organized by the district unit of the BJP, and emphasized the immense significance of such exercises within the organizational structure. He asked participants to share the knowledge and insights gained during the workshop with fellow party workers to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Congratulates on West Bengal Victory
Congratulating colleagues on the formation of the government in West Bengal, Maurya said the entire nation was enthusiastically hailing the triumph. He remarked that opposition parties have realized it would not be their turn to form the government in 2027. Recalling the party's diligent work during the 2014 Lok Sabha, 2017 assembly, 2019 Lok Sabha, and 2022 UP assembly elections, Maurya noted that the opposition resorted to malicious propaganda, which led to a decline in its parliamentary tally. 'The opposition lacks substantive issues; consequently, in the absence of genuine issues, they spread misinformation. Hence, party workers must confront and remain vigilant against such tactics,' he added.
Maurya said the people of West Bengal—the land of Subhash Chandra Bose, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and Swami Vivekananda—along with the BJP, paid a fitting tribute to these great names. He reminded the audience of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to the nation regarding the global energy crisis and said India has always stood firm and boldly confronted every challenge. 'Those who have governed this country for the longest periods failed to accomplish what Modi has achieved,' said the deputy CM, adding that the opposition has no concern for farmers, youth, women, or the poor.
Nari Shakti and Global Investors
At a time when the opposition is protesting against the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam', the BJP is working not merely to form a government but to build the nation, said Maurya. He added that global investors are eager to come to India and to Uttar Pradesh, reflecting the state's growing economic potential.
Training for Dedicated Workers
Maurya said the training in the workshop was for dedicated party workers, not for goons, unlike the SP, which trains workers in bomb-making, manufacturing illegal firearms, and inciting riots. 'Through this training workshop, BJP workers will gain the strength to face the challenges of 2047. In West Bengal, BJP workers made immense sacrifices for the party ideology,' he said.
Response to Akhilesh Yadav
On SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's jibes at BJP's 'Vision 2047', Maurya said that following the Bihar elections, those whom Akhilesh supported in West Bengal too were defeated, so his party's morale is shattered. 'The entire nation laughs at the antics of SP and the Congress,' he said, adding that amidst the global energy crisis, India experienced the lowest price inflation. Party members Vivek Mishra, Pawan Srivastava, Shailesh Pandey, and others were present on the occasion.
