Kota Srinivas Poojary, a senior BJP leader, has called on party workers to expose the failures of the Congress government in Karnataka before the public. He alleged that despite the Congress frequently speaking about the welfare of backward classes and Dalits, around 1.5 lakh students from Scheduled Castes and other backward communities in the state were struggling due to a lack of hostel facilities.
Allegations of Neglect
Speaking to party workers in Mangaluru, Poojary criticized the Congress government for its empty promises. He said that the ruling party often claims to prioritize the welfare of marginalized communities, but ground reality tells a different story. The lack of adequate hostel accommodations has forced many students to abandon their education, he added.
Call for Action
Poojary urged BJP workers to take the message to every household and highlight the government's failures. He emphasized that the party must hold the Congress accountable for its inaction. The BJP leader also pointed out that the state government has failed to utilize central funds allocated for hostel construction, leading to a severe shortage of facilities.
The issue has become a major talking point in Karnataka politics, with the BJP using it to attack the Congress government ahead of upcoming elections. Poojary's remarks are expected to intensify the political debate over education and welfare policies in the state.
