Chennai Police Granted Additional Day to Submit Postal Ballots

On the first day, April 18, officials had scheduled 9,703 personnel to cast their votes. Reports indicate that at least 10,000 personnel successfully voted on this day, slightly exceeding the planned numbers. The second day, April 20, was designated for the remaining 9,268 personnel.

Despite the robust participation, the initial two-day window left 1,554 votes still pending. Recognizing the importance of maximizing voter participation among the police force, election officials promptly approved an additional day to complete the voting process.
