Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai made a significant announcement on Monday. He stated that Left Wing Extremism in Chhattisgarh has now reached what he called a decisive end stage. The violent ideology, often referred to as Naxalism, is facing its final phase according to the state's leadership.
Three-Year Action Plan Launched in Mission Mode
During a high-level review meeting focused on Bastar's comprehensive development, CM Sai revealed a bold strategy. The government will create and implement a broad three-year action plan specifically for the Bastar region. This plan will operate in what officials describe as mission mode, meaning intense focus and rapid execution.
The primary goal is clear - ensuring Naxalism's violent ideology never resurfaces in the state. Sai emphasized that this requires more than just security operations. It demands building lasting public trust through constant engagement with local communities.
Focus on Basic Services and Ground-Level Development
The chief minister outlined several critical areas for immediate attention. He stressed the rapid expansion of essential services across Bastar's remotest areas. These services include:
- Education facilities and schools
- Healthcare centers and hospitals
- Employment opportunities and job creation
- Road connectivity and transportation
- Reliable drinking water supply
- Electricity access for all villages
- Mobile and communication networks
Sai explained that when development reaches the farthest habitations, people's faith in governance naturally strengthens. This becomes the strongest defense against extremist ideologies.
Specific Directives for Sustainable Solutions
The review meeting examined several key infrastructure projects in detail. Officials discussed drinking water supply, village electrification, and mobile connectivity across the division. CM Sai issued specific instructions for each area.
For fluoride-affected regions, he ordered sustainable solutions. Officials must switch to surface water sources instead of relying on contaminated or unreliable groundwater. This change will protect community health in the long term.
The energy department received clear directions. They must complete electrification of all remaining unelectrified villages as quickly as possible. No village should remain without power in modern Chhattisgarh.
Tourism Development and Community Involvement
