According to police reports, the shop owner and his family allegedly attacked the protesting residents, raining blows and pushing them violently. Among the injured were a resident, his father, his brother—who sustained a deep cut on his face—and a four-year-old child.

Police Complaints Filed

The injured residents filed a complaint with the police, claiming that the shop owners threatened them with dire consequences before fleeing the scene. They were taken to a nearby hospital, treated, and later released. In a counter-complaint, the barber shop owner alleged that he and his family were wrongfully restrained, heckled, and assaulted. He claimed he fell to the ground and that both he and his wife sustained injuries. The owner was reportedly taken to SSKM Hospital, where he received treatment and was discharged.
