Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi arrived in Keonjhar on Saturday for a two-day visit and participated in the 11th-day mourning ritual of his elder brother, Dinabhandu Majhi, at Raikala village under Sadar block. He offered floral tributes to the departed soul.
Dignitaries Attend the Programme
Several prominent leaders attended the ceremony, including ministers Nityanand Gond, Rabi Naik, Mukesh Mahaling, Krishna Chandra Patra, and Pradeep Bala Samanta. Members of Parliament Abhimanyu Sethi, Dilip Ray, and Ananta Nayak, as well as MLAs Akash Das Nayak, Himanshu Shekhar Sahu, Ashrit Patnaik, Prakash Chandra Sethi, Saroj Kumar Padhi, Erasish Acharya, and Durga Charan Tanti, were present. Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, in charge of BJP Odisha, also offered his tributes.
Security Arrangements
Senior police officers, including DIG Brijesh Kumar Rai and Keonjhar SP Nitin Kushalkar, were deployed to maintain law and order during the event.
Majhi is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
