Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Mandates Swift Repairs for Kaleshwaram Barrages

Chief Minister Reddy emphasized that all repair work must be executed in strict compliance with the recommendations provided by the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA). He stressed the critical importance of expediting these repairs to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of the barrages, which are vital components of Telangana's agricultural and water management systems.
"The work should be completed as per the recommendations of the National Dam Safety Authority," stated CM Reddy, underscoring the need for adherence to established safety protocols to prevent future failures and ensure long-term sustainability.

During the review, which was attended by Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar and senior officials, CM Reddy called for the development of a special action plan dedicated to the repair efforts. - Accelerating repair works to meet tight deadlines before the monsoon season.
- Completing all necessary tests and sample collections under the supervision of the Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS) prior to the onset of rains.
- Establishing a base camp at the Medigadda barrage site to facilitate on-ground coordination and oversight.

Demonstrating his commitment to the project's success, Chief Minister Reddy announced his intention to personally visit and inspect the repair sites once work commences. This hands-on approach aims to ensure accountability and maintain momentum in the restoration efforts.
"He insisted that tests and sample collections being conducted under the supervision of the Central Water and Power Research Station should be completed before the onset of the rainy season," highlighting the urgency of pre-monsoon preparations to avoid delays and potential damage.
