The target of the attack was the Priyadarshini Club located in the Mathumbhagam area of Eranjoli, near Thalassery. According to reports received by the police, miscreants forcibly entered the premises and caused significant damage. Furniture, including chairs, was broken, and party flags and posters stored inside were destroyed.
In a particularly disrespectful act, a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi was found thrown aside on the floor. The club had served a crucial role recently, functioning as the Congress election committee office during the just-concluded local body polls.
